Privacy policy

This explains what Fiku Events collects through this website, why, how long it is kept and who it goes to. It applies to fikuevents.com and to Wedding Extravaganza 2026.

Who we are

Fiku Events is an event organisation company based in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us on +92 320 3116242, by WhatsApp on the same number, or through our contact page.

What we collect

Very little. This website does not take bookings or payments, and it does not ask you to create an account. Most enquiries happen on WhatsApp, not here.

Information collected through this site
WhenWhatWhy
You tap a WhatsApp button Nothing is collected by this website. You are handed to WhatsApp with a message drafted, and nothing is sent until you press send. The message carries a short reference code identifying which page and advert you came from. So the team knows what you are asking about, and which advert brought you, without having to ask.
You join the mailing list Your email address only. To send you the exhibitor list before the event and a reminder. Nothing else.
Every page visit Referring website, the page you landed on, campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source, gclid or fbclid), and standard technical data such as approximate location, device and browser. To measure which adverts actually bring people here, so budget is not wasted. Advertising and analytics cookies are only set if you accept them.

About WhatsApp

Once you press send in WhatsApp, that conversation is between you and Fiku Events, and WhatsApp's own privacy terms apply to it. We keep the message history in the business account so we can pick up where a conversation left off. Ask us to delete a conversation and we will.

Cookies and tracking

We use Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta pixel to measure which adverts bring people to this site. They set cookies in your browser. We do not use them to build a profile of you or to identify you personally — only to count and attribute visits.

You can block or clear these at any time in your browser settings, and browsers offer a "do not track" or tracking-protection setting that we do not override. Visitors from the UK and the European Economic Area have advertising and analytics cookies switched off by default, in line with the rules that apply there.

One first-party cookie is kept regardless: it records which advert or link brought you here, so that if you message us we know what you are responding to. It expires within three months.

About WhatsApp

Cookies and tracking

When you first arrive, everything except strictly necessary cookies is switched off. The banner lets you accept analytics and advertising cookies or keep only the essential ones. If you accept, we use Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta pixel to measure campaign performance. You can change your mind by clearing this site's cookies in your browser.

We store two first-party cookies regardless of your choice, because the site cannot work properly without them: one remembering your cookie decision, and one holding the anonymous reference attached to any enquiry you submit so we can match your message to our reply. They expire within six months.

Who sees your information

We do not sell your information, and we do not pass your email address or your messages to exhibitors or sponsors for their own marketing.

Information is handled by Fiku Events, and stored using service providers who process it on our instructions: our website host, WhatsApp, our email provider, and our advertising and analytics platforms. We share aggregated, non-personal figures — such as visitor numbers — with sponsors and partners. Those figures never identify you.

We may disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

WhatsApp conversations and mailing list entries are kept for three years, so we can recognise returning exhibitors and invite past visitors to the next edition. Advertising and analytics data is kept according to each platform's own retention settings, typically fourteen months. Ask us and we will delete your record sooner.

Your choices

  • Ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
  • Ask us to delete your record.
  • Stop the emails at any time — use the unsubscribe link, or tell us on WhatsApp.

Message +92 320 3116242 and we will action it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. The mailing list is held in an access-controlled account and is never published or made publicly browsable.

Children

The exhibition is family-friendly and children are welcome to attend, but this website is not intended for use by children, and we ask that any email address given here belongs to an adult.
